The Count Basie Theatre, a 1926 historic theatre, is located in the heart of downtown Red Bank, New Jersey. Just minutes from the ocean, Red Bank is a beautiful and charming town built on the banks of the Navesink River. The Count Basie Theatre alone draws close to 200,000 people annually, in addition to the thousands who flock to Red Bank's annual film and music festivals. There are numerous art galleries, antique shops, retail stores, restaurants, and parks in this small hamlet on the Jersey Shore. If you are planning to stay overnight, there are many fine hotels located in and near Red Bank. Red Bank is a "walking town," offering visitors plenty to see and do. The New Jersey Transit train station houses Red Bank information in the form of brochures, pamphlets and transportation schedules and is conveniently located just a few blocks from the center of town at the corner of Bridge Avenue and Monmouth Street. It is open during ticket agent hours - 5:30 am - 9:00 am, Monday thru Friday.
